Our lab develops solid-state spin-defect platforms for quantum sensing, precision metrology, and nanoscale imaging. We use Nitogen Vacancy (NV) centers in diamond and emerging spin defects in two-dimensional materials to probe magnetic, electronic, charge and spin phenomena in quantum materials and devices. Our lab combines novel mulptiplexed advanced optical microscopy, microwave control, cryogenic instrumentaion, spin manupulation, and data-driven analysis to build scalable quantum sensors and chip-integrated quantum technologies.
The lab is launching at the University at Buffalo in Spring 2027. We welcome inquiries from motivated PhD students, postdoctoral researchers, and undergraduate students interested in experimental quantum science and engineering.
