Saroj recently visited the University at Buffalo to kick off planning and renovation for the new Chand Lab in Davis Hall.

The visit focused on the layout and infrastructure needed for the lab’s experimental quantum science program, including optical-table placement, electrical and cooling requirements, vibration-sensitive measurements, cryogenic and vacuum equipment, and dedicated areas for sample preparation and device work.

The visit also provided an opportunity to meet with colleagues and coordinate with UB staff as the laboratory space is prepared for the group’s launch in Spring 2027.

We look forward to seeing the laboratory take shape over the coming months.
